Once you have removed the previous lamp or the fan, the next step is to hang the new pendant light fixture but for this you have to attach the new mounting brackets with the junction box and then fix it there with the help of screws. next step is the wiring of the new lighting fixture. Before joining the wires read the instructions manual carefully and then join the wires according to the instruction. Now the last step is to secure the connection by connecting the ground wire which is normally a green or blacked colored wire. once you have attached the neutral wire you are done. Now you have to turn on the main power switch and check the newly installed lamp. if it illuminates you have done well.
There are two common mistakes which people make while installing the new pendant light fixture. the first mistake is that they hang the new pendant too high or too low which gives a really bad look. Always remember that the pendant should be 6.5 to 7 feet above the floor. This will allow you to easily look across the room but at the same time will also change the look of the room. the second common mistake is that we don’t use enough pendant lights.
As I have already mentioned that pendant light fixtures normally use the low lamp intensity lamps so if you have installed a single pendant in the room the room will remain dark. so it is always better to install as many pendant lights as required in that particular place. One other mistake which is mostly done by many people is the size of the new pendant lamp. many people choose a pendant lamp which looks really small or very large when installed in the particular place. For this it is always better to check the dimensions of your room and then you should buy a pendant lighting fixture according to the size of your room.
